Bling. What dreams are made of. --

• Everyone dreams of fancy clothes and cars, iPods, PSP, Xbox, laptops...
• Some of us want to travel.
• Wealth means freedom.
• Being able to do what we want.

So our parents aren’t rich. That doesn’t mean we’re destined to a life of work, work, work just to get by. Saving and setting intentions NOW will guarantee us a rich future.  Spending is easy, saving is really hard. It seems like so much more fun to buy that CD, pack of gum, baseball cap, pizza.... right now.

You know what’s really fun?

Putting your money on a bank account, adding more money as time goes by and watching your savings grow! Oh, the possibilities that opens to us when we have a significant amount of cash! 

So, let’s get started!

• First, we have to set a goal.
• Next we have to promise ourselves never to lose sight of our goal – under NO circumstances!

This takes guts and strength.  You’ll see, as soon as we start saving there will arise a thousand good reasons to spend that money;  Its Mom’s birthday;  it’s Christmas, sales are on, the new Xbox has arrived.... it’s never ending!  Set yourself BIG goals and the small ones will fulfill themselves. What’s your goal? If I tell you anything is possible and all your dreams will come true what would you wish for? What do you wish for your family? Write it down. Draw it. Make a collage. Don’t worry about how.Once your goal is set, start. Promise yourself to put a part of your allowance aside every time. Make yourself a piggy bank. When it’s full put everything on a bank account. (For my sisters and brothers in JA convert your savings to US$, British Pound or Euros). Then repeat the process. Seeing your bank account grow is way more fun than spending now. Stick with it. There will come a time when you’ll be able to buy what you want, do what you like and have so much fun.
